KRI@UNSW supports postgraduate researchers by providing a variety of scholarships, ranging from annual stipends, living allowances and tuition fee costs, to travel scholarships and supplements. Scholarships are available to support both new and continuing postgraduate researchers.
KRI@UNSW has established extensive international networks in Southeast Asia and Australasia. There are two distinctive collaborative research networks under operation at present. The first is the Universities Network (aka. Ten Strategic Partner Universities) and the second is Universities-Government Institutions network (aka. CPPR Forum).
KRI@UNSW formed strategic network with governmental departments and institutions in Korea, Australasia and Southeast Asia through receiving research grants, receiving support for Korean Studies related activities, joint organisation of policy workshops, conducting collaborative research and facilitating public diplomacy in Australasia and Southeast Asia. There are over twenty-five governmental, academic and non-governmental institutions across eight Southeast Asian countries who are proactively engage with KRI@UNSW
Support for the development of teaching programs in Korean language and Korean Studies courses at various institutions in Australasia and Southeast Asia as well as, providing training, development courses, workshops and seminars for teachers in Korean language and Korean Studies, in conjunction with other research centres and teaching institutions in the region.
Provision of support to Korean Studies and Korea related research activities of other institutions and researchers in the Australasia and Southeast Asia region.
